My Pick for Tumblr Tuesday: Roy (AKA Da Beeker)!
Damn… This guy….. is awesome. Can’t lie, The first time I read his blog I didn’t expect to see progress. It just seemed like the whole world was against. Much like me. Roy was the underdog.

But boy did Roy prove me wrong. Every time I read his blog I’m blow away (and He takes his weight loss journey very seriously and is the most dedicated of any blog I follow.
It’s like, you see him busting ass on the stationary bike or showing his most recent meal and you can’t help but wonder how he finds the steam to continue. Truly an inspiration and, while I don’t know the guy personally, I can tell that he has a big heart. So, Roy, keep up the great work bud! I’m right behind you!

Man. Today was nice. Here’s a quick rundown.
- Got up at 8:30 and (Thanks to Tumblr) found motivation to walk to the gym
- walked 4 miles at the gym
- Came home and made awesome grilled chicken, bacon and cheese wraps
- dicked around on the computer for about an hour
- Handled some business with the band (we’re announcing the release date & name of our upcoming debut album soon!)
- Played Fable 3 for about 4 hours
Then Nikki came home and ate dinner with me then we took a shower together, now she’s playing Fable 3 and I’m blogging. :)
I love you guys. No joke. Ever since I came to Tumblr I found out that I’m not alone and that there’s a community of truly wonderful people who are willing to drop everything for something as little as to give you motivation to keep going. I owe a HUGE part of what success I’ve had so far to you guys, the ones who read this far into my posts before losing interest, the ones that like and comment on my posts. Seriously… You guys are the reason I’m still here.

My Pick For Tumblr Tuesday! BombshellBecoming!

This chick is 100% badass and in a daring feat, she denies physics by being another 10% sweet. I know, I’m posting a Tumblr Tuesday on a Wednesday, but she has also been the answer to most of my bad days lately. It’s rare these days to find someone who is beautiful inside and out and she shares all of our common struggle. Her blog pulls no punches while offering great advice and a shoulder to lean on when you need it. So, if you enjoy my blog do yourself a favor and follow her, she is fantastic. go now! :D

Install Comments on Your Blog!!!
There are two very annoying things that you come across on Tumblr. People who mostly post pictures that aren’t theirs when you’re not following them for pics. Seriously, If you do this, stop. It’s annoying. Tumblr is like “You have 7 new posts from people you follow!” and I’m like “Woot!” then six of them are pointless pictures that have nothing to do with the purpose of this persons blog. ok… rant over.
The second thing that you can encounter that can bug you is people who have no way of contacting them, yet they want support! No “Ask Me Anything” section and no comments section.
Well, this tutorial is how to fix the commenting problem. With people doing the blogs that I do (weight loss), communication and support is a key factor to success. So taking these simple steps towards implementing Disqus into your blog can really make the difference! Please re-blog this!
How to set up Disqus to Allow People to Comment on Your Blog.
1. Go to www.Disqus.com
2. Click the Sign up Free button
3. You will be brought to a page that says “You are signing up to install the comment system on your site.” for site URL put (http://www.yourblognamehere.tumblr.com). Site name: put the name of your site. For instance, I would put “Nick Reborn”. for “Site Shortname” put the same thing that you entered for Site Name just without the spaces. For instance NickReborn. It will probably suggest a name for your site in this. It’s ok to go with the name they suggest.
4. Under this, there is a Primary Moderator section. Fill out these forms as you would for any website. Choose a username and password you like. Don’t worry about receiving junk mail from Disqus. The only time they will email you is to tell you that you have a comment waiting.
5. the next section is the Settings section where you will set up your preferences for using Disqus. Select whichever language you primarily speak. If you wish to connect to Facebook, put your FB API key in that section. If you need assistance inputting your API key click the (Click here to get one). As for the right side of the form, just click the options you want. If you don’t know what they do, simply hover over the options to see a description.
6. For this tutorial’s sake, we’re only going to install into Tumblr. Below, in the Popular Platforms section; click on the Tumblr logo.
7. On the following page you will be given step by step instructions on how to install Disqus into Tumblr, allowing for your followers to leave comments. Follow Step One and open up your Tumblr dashboard and click the Customize tool. Under the Appearance tab, there should be an option that says Disqus Shortname. Now on the Disqus website, at the end of step 2 it will give you your shortname in case you forgot. Copy your shortname to be safe and click save and close! You can probably disregard step 3 that says “Can’t find this option? Some Tumblr themes do not support this option. It is still easy to manually add Disqus to your theme by reading the following steps. ” Since almost all Tumblr themes support Disqus.
That’s it! Usually to leave a comment on someone’s post you will have to click the time and date header at the top of the post. which will solo the post on your page where Disqus will load at the bottom. If you want to, you can ask me (www.nickreborn.tumblr.com) to test out your new commenting system. If you have any trouble or need any further info on how to install this, please email me at nickrebornblog@gmail.com.
